Lad and Durve (2008) in Marma Points of Ayurveda call this point Kurpara and associate it with the doshas: Vyana Vayu and Shleshaka Kapha.
They give the following functions:
- Regulates coordination of movement of upper extremities and elbow
- Relieves pain locally
