Pattern: Cough due to Phlegm-Heat in the Lung

Key Symptoms: Severe cough with thick and sticky phlegm, itchy sore throat with hoarseness

Tongue: Most likely red with thick yellow coat
Pulse: Most likely rapid and slippery

Huang Qin 4.5g
Zhi Zi 2.1g
Xing Ren 2.1g
Zhe Bei Mu 3g
Zhu Ru 3g
Sang Bai Pi 3g
Jie Geng 3g
Mai Men Dong 2.1g
Tian Men Dong 2.1g
Dang Gui 2.1g
Chen Pi 0.9g
Fu Ling 3g
Wu Wei Zi 7pc


Preparation: Decoct with Sheng Jiang and Da Zao. Take warm between meals


Actions: Dispels Heat and Phlegm in the chest, moistens the Lung and relieves cough
