Key Symptoms: Pain in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen and hypochondriac region that may radiate to the back, shoulder or jaw and is aggravated by fatty food


Ingredients

Chai Hu 15g
Yin Chen Hao 15g
Yu Jin 15g
Huang Qin 15g
Bai Shao 15g
Jin Yin Hua 30-50g
Da Qing Ye 30-50g
Jin Qian Cao 30-50g
Mu Xiang 12g
Da Huang 15g (added later)
Mang Xiao 9g (added after decocting)


Preparation: Decoction. Also prepared as granules and sold as pills.


Actions: Clears Heat and promotes bile secretion.
